A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes - Fairy Tale Ball 2014

So the 1st grade boys were slightly less than excited about the Fairy Tale Ball... In fact, Aiden barely mentioned it. He did maybe twice, both in the context of how he and Collin were going to pretend to be sick the day of the ball so they wouldn't have to dance with a GIRL!
But the big day came and both boys were entirely healthy.
Collin and Aiden escorting Ruby and Evelyn.
Each class presented information about a continent. Their class was Australia.

Now here's the difference between boys and girls... Aiden slapped on his Easter outfit and called it good. Sweet Isabella had been planning her dress for weeks. Her mom had to order all kinds of stuff to make it. She was so beautiful! Such a sweet, sweet girl! And a hoot too! :)
Handsome boys: Blake, Aiden and Collin, exercising their best manners.
So many emotions wrapped up in this picture. Mrs. Berlanga paired him with Audrey and he had to dance the waltz! Soooooooo cute!!

Phew! He survived and got to hang with Joshua for a while. :)
These guys... Aiden's bffs... Blake, Aiden, Collin, and Joshua
I can so see this happening again in a few years. ;)
Seriously, these are some cool dudes!

It was a great experience and our first grade teachers did a great job organizing and decorating. What a fun experience!

Memorial Day Weekend

We started off the weekend by calling Poison Control because Buddy ate the entire bottle of Singulair (aka Snot Medicine).  Nothing to worry about! Just an especially allergy free puppy!
We went to 2 Naturals games!

We got to spend some time at Terry and Christy's lake house. The kids really enjoyed playing in the kayaks!

Monday morning we went BRIGHT and EARLY to Rock the Run for JDRF. We had lots of fun! Some of those people are so impressive!

Skipping School!

We decided to skip school one day so we could enjoy some short lines at Silver Dollar City before it got crazy! On the way we stopped at the Alabam Cemetery to deliver flowers to Mary Elizabeth , Grandpa Rowe and Granny Vitis.
 Mary watching over our Mary.
Then it was off to SDC! The petting zoo was the first stop! I think this one was Tater Tot!
We decided to stop by their school house to make up for skipping!
Outlaw Run selfie! Upside down! Oops!
This boy is serious about his balls. Hahahahahaha! ;)

But don't throw the balls! Hahahahahaha
They love this funny mirror and I don't know how we have been so lucky that they have never realized that this building is a toy store!
Aiden has always wanted one of these bats with his name on it! Thank you, Nana!!

This was about the time that Emma started feeling MISERABLE!! We checked and she had 101 temp and sore ears. :(

This NEVER happens so you know it was a BIG day!
That night we had a Health Fair at Turnbow that we worked for JDRF. Aiden was his usual helpful self!
Emma stayed home and the next day she went with me to work to wait on her appointment to see Dr. Lovell. Ear infection. :( Which means fighting about antibiotics for the next 10 days! Poor girl!

The End of a Era

It was a sad decision, but the kiddos decided that they had out grown the swing set and decided to sell it so that they could add to their tree house.

Lot's of fun memories... Want to stroll down memory lane? Well come on!

What a special present this was from the grandparents! It provided lots of great fun and memories! :)
