Memorial Day Weekend!

Memorial Day weekend started off really fun! Emma went to her 1st slumber party at a friend's house! She is our neighbor, so it was perfect! She did great! On our way to pick her up, Aiden and I found this HUGE turtle!
We also went to a Naturals game with our friends the McCarley's! It was Kid's Replica Jersey night! :)
We found a new place to sit and it was perfect! They spent the whole night rolling in the grass and trying to get a ball from the left fielder. They didn't even ask to go to the playground! It was crazy!!
Matt teases Aiden that he has a crush on Natalie. He calls her "Matalie". He really does have fun with her.
When we went to Sunday dinner at Nanny and Papa's this guy was right up by their door. He is often in their yard, but he was just right up at the house and kind of wanted to hang around us. So... he's either kind of getting tame or he's rabid and losing it. ?? ;)
After dinner, we went to shoot skeet and swim at Aunt Brandy's. Matt was great! And I hit the one that I shot at, so it was all good!!

 The kids had fun too!!
On Memorial Day, we went to ROCK the Run for JDRF.

 Getting started!!

Amanda, Alan and Ella (and baby) :) We *heart* them!!

The McCarley girls. They did great!!

Matt did great too! He hasn't run all year and he finished!
 Little Ella did great!!

 Us with the McCarley's :)

This was later that week. Actually, it was our 14th wedding anniversary! Matt had to go to a Natural's game  that night so the kids and I decided to ride bikes. We got about a mile from the house and Aiden stopped and had the LOW attitude. I freaked out. We ditched his bike, and I left him at our friend's house with some juice and biked home to get my car. It was slightly scary! But then our friends were about to go berry hunting at a HUGE black berry bush behind their house. They were pokey, but it was a lot of fun!
And see that pretty long hair...
To be continued...

Party Time for some Pre-K Grads!!

With Aiden graduating pre-K, of course we had to celebrate!! So two of his buddies from class came over and it just so happens that their sisters are Emma's friends, so it was perfect!!

 Well, that can't be safe!

 Landon and Rylan.
Eden with a fancy night shot (really it was fluke, but it looked really cool!)
 All the kiddos. :)
The girlies. Eden, Emma, and Ella.

We will miss getting to see these friends on a daily basis when they all start at new schools. But we know that we will stay close. :)

Emma's last day of school

We were so excited for the last day of school!! It was a fun and field day!! There were a lot of different stations and LOTS of fun activities!

Emma's school is very "cultural" and these girls from the Marshall Islands were teaching everyone to hula, like really hula. It kind of made me teary eyed. They were so good!!
There were lots of water stations, even a dunking booth!

I picked up her and about 7 other kids crammed into the car and we headed to the house to celebrate the start of SUMMER VACATION! I didn't get any pictures of my car or the back yard, but they were cute and festive!!

It was lots and lots of fun with friends! We will miss them this summer!

Run for the Roses - 2012 JDRF Hope Gala

We recently had our 2012 JDRF Hope Gala
Run for the Roses
  Thank you, Hershey!!
It was Kentucky Derby themed and actually had a live showing of the Derby and actual Derby programs.
The Ambassadors had lots of fun before and after "working"!!

Amanda and Alan are our good friends. Amanda works with Matt and honestly does so much for him. She is amazing and not only that, Alan's parents bought a table for the Gala and let us invite family members to sit there too! They are so generous!! Thanks, Amanda!!
My Uncle Terry and Aunt Christy also bought tickets and came. We are very thankful for them as well!!
Me and my frizzed out self with Matt. I should have left my hat on!! It was hot and I was running around like a crazy person watching the Ambassadors!
 Me and my mom!!
Fund a Cure! The event raised over $261,000 for T1 research. So amazing!!
Emma and her new friends. :) So cute!
It was a great event! Can't wait until next year!!
